Calicut University Results!

Calicut University will conduct the second year BCom / BBA (regular/improvement/supplementary) examinations from May 15 onwards. Time: 1.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. On Fridays: 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

MSC Food Science and Technology third and fourth semester examinations will begin on May 17 and May 16 respectively. Time 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.

The last date to receive the filled in applications for third professional BAMS (regular /supplementary) examination without fine is May 17 and with a fine of Rs. 25 is may 23. The date of examination will be announced later.

BA Afasal-Ul-Ulama examination will begin on May 19. Time: 1.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. On Fridays: 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The result of first and second semester MPhil journalism and Mass Communication examinations (January 2006) has been published.

The examination of BA subsidiary paper Political Science will be held on May 16 at 9.30 a.m. at various centres for the students who by error wrote the examination of Part third Political Science main paper 1 Principles of Political Science instead the subsidiary paper. Students should bring the hall ticket for the exam.

Calicut University News!

The hall tickets for MCom Previous supplementary/ improvement examinations scheduled on May 17 will be distributed on May 15 and 16. Some of the examination centres have been changed and those who have applied at the following centeres have to collect the hall tickets from the centres given in brackets. Kozhikode Government Arts and Science College (Meenchanta GVHSS); Ottappalm NSS College (Vaniyakulam TRKHS) and Taliparamba Sir Sayed College (Madayi Co-operative College), Candidates who have applied at the Thrissur SKVC have to collect the hall tickets from the St.Mary’s College and should write the examination at St.Mary’s College.

The result of the MSc Mathematics examination (May 2005) will be published on May 10. The results are available at the university website. Those who wish to appear for improvement / supplementary examination scheduled on May 17, should apply before May 12.

University of Calicut BSc centres

For those students residing in areas which come under the jurisdiction of Kannur University and have applied for first year BSc examination under Calicut University, the following colleges will be the examination centres: K.M. College Kannur, SN College Kannur, Payyanur College, Nirmalagiri College, Koothuparamba and Brennen College, Thalassery. Hall tickets will be issued from May 17 onwards at these centres.

The second year BA degree regular / improvement / supplementary examination which were scheduled to begin on May 18 has been postponed to May 22.

Calicut University will distribute the hall tickets for the first year Afsal ul Ulama examination from May 8 at various centres. Those who have applied at Thirurangadi PSMO College and Palakkad GV College should collect the hall tickets from GHS Thirurangadi and CAHS Kuzhalmandam respectively and should write the examination there.

The students who have applied for MA Sociology previous exam at Manjeri NSS College as the examination centre are required to collect the hall tickets from Kozhikode Guruvayurappan College and write the examination there.

The MD Radio Diagnosis examination which was scheduled to begin on May 8 has been postponed to May 24

Calicut University News!

Calicut University has extended the last date for receiving the completed
application forms for BEd course at its centres till May 5.


The fourth semester MSc Electronics, Computer Science examination will begin
on May 25 and the sixth semester will begin from May 15. Time : 9.30 a.m. to
12.30 a.m.


The results of the BSc printing Technology examination held on 2005 May has
been published. For scrutiny and revaluation students can apply till May 4.


University centralised valuation camps will not function from April 28 to May
3 due to the Assembly election. Camps will resume functioning from May 3.

Calicut University BSc Results!

The results of the B.Sc. examinations in 16 subjects registered a pass percentage of 74.27. Colleges in Thrissur district have come out with flying colours with their students bagging a good number of top positions. In the B.Ed. examinations conducted by the university, the results of which were also released today, the pass percentage is 95.95.

Out of 4,394 students who wrote the examination, 4,216 passed, 2,655 of them in the first class. As many as 6,063 out of 8,163 students who had appeared for the B.Sc. examination (in the 16 subjects) have passed the examination. The pass percentage was highest for Psychology.

The following are the first rank-holder in various subjects: Physics: K Drisya (Providence College, Kozhikode, 992 marks); Chemistry: Shiny Aravindakshan) and Divya Vijayan (both students of Little Flower, Guruvayur, 969 marks); Mathematics: K.S. Shabna (Little Flower, Guruvayur, 988 marks); Statistics: K. Aji (Vimala College, Thrissur, 998 marks); Zoology: Jiffy James Vadakkan (St. Thomas, Thrissur, 946 marks); Psychology: Rashmy Sahadevan (Prajyoti Nikethan, Pudukkad, 865 marks). Geology: E. Abdul Wahid (MES, Ponnani, 837 marks); Botany: K. Sitara (Little Flower, Guruvayur, 941 marks); Zoology (sericulture): M.A. Raseena (Government Victoria College, Palakkad, 833 marks); Computer Science: Sreekala (Prajyothi Nikethan, Pudukkad, 1,299 marks from a total of 1,400); Electronics: Deepa Thomas (WMO, Muttil, 1,250 out of 1,400); Polymer Chemistry: Devi P.V. ( St. Mary's Thrissur, 1103 marks); Industrial Chemistry (Regular): Abhilash V (NNS, Ottappalam, 1,074 out of 1,200); Applied Statistics and Computer Application and Acturial Science: Sarjina Rahman R ( Farook College: 1,009 out of a total of 1,200); Family and Community Science: Linda Joy ( Vimala College, Thrissur, 902 out of 1,000); Industrial Chemistry (vocational): Divya K.P. (Unity Women's, Manjeri, 1,337 out of 1,400).

The marklists would be available at the examination centres.

last date for receipt of applications for revaluation and scrutiny is June 21.
